Jokkoo Collective inaugura el ciclo de música experimental del Museo Reina Sofía con un concierto en las terrazas de Nouvel
The session opens the Experimental Music Series, curated by Pedro Portellano, which runs until December
On Thursday, 2 October the Jokkoo Collective takes club energy to the Museo Reina Sofía, transforming the Nouvel Building’s rooftop terraces into a place of dance, thought and exchange in a performance of experimental and alternative music from the African continent.
The Barcelona-based Jokkoo Collective works from the intention and the need to research and disseminate contemporary and futuristic creations in experimental and alternative scenes from the African continent, and from its diaspora and allied communities across the world. The collective’s approach moves between club and critical thought via their prolific work as DJs, producers and programmers.
The collective is made up of six artists with common goals: Baba Sy, Maguette Dieng (Mbodj) Oscar Taylor (Opoku), Nicolas Beliot (Mooki6), Ismäel N´diaye (B4mba) and Miriam Camara (TNTC).
Admission is free, until full capacity is reached.
