Unique materials of great value

Staatliches Bauhaus Weimar 1919-1923, Weimar, Bauhausverlag, 1923
Biblioteca y Centro de Documentación del Museo Reina Sofía
The Museo Reina Sofía Library’s collection classified as “reserve” includes materials which are salient for their historical, artistic and documentary value and are not part of another collection.
Today, the documents in this collection are almost five thousand strong. Notable are the texts and manifestos, sometimes first editions, which shine a light on different art movements across the twentieth century. It also incorporates catalogues of note for solo and collective shows, artists’ publications, works published with a small print run, documents with original illustrations by artists and copies with dedications, in addition to manuscripts, correspondence and photographs that do not belong to any of the Library’s archives.
From the Museo’s networks, some of these materials can be consulted online via LaDigitaldelReina. Consultations from external networks may be restricted due to intellectual property rights.
If you require more information, please refer to the Library’s terms of access and use, Library Guide, and available services. Library staff in the Reading Room are also available to deal with any questions.
