Roberta Bacic (Santiago de Chile, 1949), born in Chile and residing in Northern Ireland, is the founder of Conflict Textiles, a physical and digital archive dedicated to the research and preservation of textile production related to conflict contexts, and one of the most significant collections of arpilleras in the world. Following the donation of five Chilean arpilleras to the Museo Reina Sofía Collection, Bacic explains the origin of these colorful embroidered textile works, known as arpilleras.
