Museo Situado organises, in collaboration with the Museo Reina Sofía’s Conservation and Restoration and Artwork Registration Departments, the fourth edition of the Course on Handling, Packing, Transporting and Installing Cultural Heritage Artefacts. The course aims to give insight into work related to handling artworks and installing exhibitions for people with migrant life stories in Madrid’s Lavapiés neighbourhood.

This training course is held in different places inside the Museo and participants will also visit a specialised company in the sector. It encompasses theoretical-practical content related to the operation of artwork storage facilities and different museum resources used for exhibition, professionals involved in design and installation processes, and the working protocols and internal operations of companies specialised in transporting cultural artefacts.

The sessions, conducted by artwork conservation, restoration and handling professionals, look to broaden knowledge on the work developed inside the Museo and day-to-day tasks carried out in relation to the Collection, in addition to opening possible new employment horizons for students.
