Territorio Doméstico: Politicising Aprons, Pots and Streets is a documentary audiovisual piece that records the history of the make-up and struggle of the feminist collective Territorio Doméstico, a group of domestic workers who live in the Community of Madrid but come from all over the world.

The film, directed by Mayo Pimentel, narrates how the collective’s members came together in 2006 and recounts the different methods they used from that point on to advocate the recognition of their rights as workers. From composing and producing songs to marching on the streets, the women involved in this network made it political by using enticing and vibrant tools to facilitate an understanding of both their struggle and their rights. Thus, they define their contribution to society by alluding to the direct link to care; that is, they carry out key work that is the bedrock of the economic, labour and social system but work which also makes them invisible and puts them in a precarious situation.

After the screening there will be a debate between Territorio Doméstico, the protagonists of the documentary and the audience present.
